Pumpkin Spice and Everything Nice (in the UK)

One of my favourite things about this time of year is that it is officially the season of Pumpkin Spice. Made popular by the Starbucks drink, it’s previously been a very American thing and hard to get hold of in the UK, but wonderfully, things are changing. We’re not quite at the point where you walk into a supermarket and see all of your usual favourites decorated in orange with a brand new flavour for the season, but there are more ways to get that cinnamon spiced magic in your life in this country than ever before!

Starting with my absolute favourite, the Bluebird Tea Co’s Spiced Pumpkin Pie tea. It’s naturally flavoured so without all the artificial sweetness you’d find in the coffee shop version; far better for you and far more filled with flavour. The tea even has tiny little pumpkin shapes in it!

If coffee is more of your thing, you can now find various pumpkin flavours in TK Maxx and Homesense stores. Not so easily tracked down online sadly, but there is usually a good selection around this time of year in the kitchen and food sections.

Both TK Maxx and Homesense are great for finding seasonal candles at the moment too. This one was one of many, they had many options by brands like Pecksniffs and DW Candle in various different pumpkin flavours, all beautifully packaged for the season.

The Body Shop also have a brand new scent this year, Vanilla Pumpkin. I absolutely adore the Body Butter version and have been using it every day. Bath and Body Works are usually the winners at this time of year for pumpkin scented festive body products, but this new range is a strong contender!

And finally, if you just can’t get enough of the pumpkin, make your own! Tins of pumpkin are easy to find in the UK now, I tend to get them in Sainsburys or Waitrose and the possibilities are endless. If you’re stuck for something to bake, try out my Pumpkin Pie  recipe, or try making your own Pumpkin Spice!

  • The Bluebird tea sounds and looks amazing, especially with those little pumpkin shapes! I really want to try and find the different flavours of coffee too, so I’ll be on the look out for those too!

  • I love pumpkin spice but haven’t tried any actual pumpkin flavored coffee or tea yet but I’m tempted to buy a bag. It’s so cute that the spiced pumpkin pie tea has pumpkin shaped in the mix! ♥

  • Ahh I love this post! I’ve never been a big fan of those artificial syrups in coffee shops so it’s nice to see some seasonal alternatives ☺️ I actually drove past the Bluebird Tea Co store in Bristol earlier this month and I’m so gutted that I didn’t stop to go in!
