Welcome December | A To-Do List

december-to-do-list-4-of-4

It’s the most wonderful time of the year! Okay, it’s my second favourite month, but I won’t deny it is a rather wonderful time. December has snuck up on us somehow, I’d have a hard time believing it’s not still the middle of September if it wasn’t for the sudden freezing temperatures; the last four months seem to have flown by faster than the blink of an eye. It is most definitely December though, and there is lots to do, and plenty to look forward to! My to-do list for the month includes:

Put up some outrageously tacky outdoor Christmas lights – after a minor disaster and a small house fire last year, decorating had to be pushed back a little bit, but this year we’re prepared and making up for lost time. In fact, that’s my plan for today!

Sing Carols – I love Christmas carols, but haven’t managed to make it to a carol service for a few years now. This year though I’m going to go to at least one, sing my heart out and finish it off with mince pies and mulled wine.

Bake a Christmas Cake – I’m not a fruitcake fan but my family love them, I don’t usually eat the Christmas cakeΒ but still get to decorate it!Β The last one we did was a rather cute Snowman & The SnowdogΒ and so need something to top that with this year!

Watch as many Christmas Films as possible – I love Christmas movies, and the cheesier the better. I’m currently making my way through Netflix’s selection, and hope to watch as many as I can before the month ends.

Get Outside – Even though it’s absolutely freezing at the moment, I think it’s one of the most beautiful times of the year to get outdoors and go exploring! I’m looking for lots of frosty morning wanders with the pups in tow.

Chill! – As many festive and exciting things as there are to do in December, it’s also a great time to rest and relax. After a busy few months, I’m looking forward to a good few quiet days at home with family, tucked up under a blanket with the dogs with mulled wine by the fireside!
