Two Magical Advent Calendars

Part of the joy of the festive season is the build up to it, and what better way to count down the time than with an advent calendar? Growing up, advent calendars were a scenic card with a little picture behind each window, or maybe even a chocolate treat to open each morning, but in recent years, the options available have become far more exciting! Today I’m sharing two of the most amazing beauty calendars out there…

LookFantastic, an online boutique of all things beauty, have created an absolute masterpiece in the form of the Beauty Secret. A stunning rose gold book that opens to reveal 24 little windows, you just know it’s going to be filled with all sorts of wonderful treats. Featuring a huge range of brands, it includes handy travel sized miniatures as well as some full sized products too. It contains products with over £300 value but cost £70, meaning you get an awful lot packed into one calendar. Unfortunately, but not surprisingly, it sold out rather quickly, but I’m posting it now as a reminder to keep an eye out early next year. As an alternative gift though, LookFantastic make some rather lovely Beauty Boxes, a great way to try out some new products and available as a subscription, which would make a lovely gift

The Body Shop always do Christmas rather well, and this year they’ve gone all out by creating THREE calendars. The three come in varying prices, all featuring 24 little gifts, but varying in size slightly. Sadly again these have sold out, but they have a huge range of gifts available this Christmas, all packaged up so beautifully.

One lovely thing they are doing is that when you purchase one of their specially selected Christmas gifts, they are donating to a number of rainforests by building bio-bridges. They have partnered with the Orangutan Land Trust in Indonesia, The World Land Trust in Vietnam, and the Wildlife Conservation Society in Malaysia to help in restoring rainforest in those areas. If you purchase from this gifting range this Christmas, then you’ll be supporting those charities, which I think is a rather lovely thing to do!

Although both of these lovely calendars have unfortunately already all been snapped up, both brands have lots of lovely festive gifts on offer which are definitely worth taking a look at! Did you manage to get your hands on a beauty calendar this year?

* I was very kindly gifted these calendars, but my views are, as always, open, honest and entirely my own.

  • These calendars look fab! I love the Body Shop, they’re products are always so wonderful and I seriously love the idea of their new campaign and donating to these charities – it’s such a good cause and makes spending out on Christmas presents that little bit more worth while!

I’m a classic Cadbury advent lover but love the new rise of these beauty calendars and they make great gifts too – I’ll definitely look out for the Body Shop ones next year!
