I’ve always been a sunset chaser.
There’s something about the rapidly changing colours of the sky as the sun goes down that has always fascinated me. I rarely get anything else done around the final hours of the day as when the sky’s on fire, I often can’t concentrate on anything else.
Sunsets in the city are just fine, though they are often just a little more lovely if you can escape for a while. My favourite spot to disappear to is Ditchling Beacon, one of the highest points in the Sussex Downs, and in my opinion, one of the best places to watch the sun go down. It’s calm and quiet and despite being just a 5 minute drive from the city, it gives the feeling that you are in themiddle of nowhere, and on top of the universe, all at once. I’m pretty sure the sky is bigger there too, so is the perfect venue for some sunset chasing.
