Today I wanted to share a few favourite bits and pieces that are making me smile at the moment.
First up is a rediscovery of Twinings’ Gingerbread Green Tea. It’s no fine loose leaf, but adds a tasty seasonal twist on green tea, a staple part of my tea drinking routine. Individual bags mean it’s a good one to pop in your handbag and take to work to spice up your tea break. It’s got a great flavour and is making me a little bit excited for Christmas… possibly a little bit early, but it definitely fits with the colder weather we’ve been having!
Next is a sweet gift from my lovely Pa, who managed to track down a supersized Sweet Cinnamon Pumpkin hand sanitiser while in the states. It’s my favourite scent from Bath and Body Works and I get through so many of the little pocketbacs at this time of year. It’s such a handy size to keep on your desk, and the packaging is so pretty and seasonal too!
I ordered a few bits from H&M recently and added some candles from their Home section’s sale to my basket to give them a try, and have been so pleased with them. This little Bergamot jar is my favourite, it’s got a good strong fragrance when burning and is in such a pretty jar too!
I’ve added two new additions to my nail polish collection too, both from Essie’s Fall 2016 range. Kimono-Over is a rich, dark bluey purple, a great witchy halloween shade and dark enough to be a great vampy evening polish. Playing Koi might be my new favourite polish ever, the most perfect dark orange that reminds me of crunchy leaves and pumpkins, which is pretty much all I’ve ever wanted in nail polish form!
Last, but not least, is a book I was given on my birthday earlier in the year. It’s from Persephone Books, a publisher and seller that I absolutely adore. The shop ‘reprints neglected fiction and non-fiction by mid-twentieth century (mostly) women writers’, printing them all in beautiful matching grey covers, with each book containing a different printed endpaper and matching bookmark. I love the concept of these similar books, it takes away the ability to judge by the cover, allowing you to discover something new that you might not have otherwise picked up. Opening up the covers reveals a beautiful surprise in the form of the printed pages too, which is just rather lovely if you ask me!
