It’s the most wonderful time of the year!I’m pretty sure that song should apply to the month where Bath & Body Works release their pumpkin candles, not just Christmas! I should start with an apology to UK readers to struggle to track down BBW. I really understand the frustration, but I love these kind of posts too much not to share. I buy mine when I’m in the states and carry a heavy suitcase home, or persuade my lovely Dad to shop for me when he’s there with work. You can often track bits down on eBay, or use a mail forwarding service like GoSend, though I haven’t personally tried this so can’t vouch for how well it works!
But let’s get to it! I went to the US in August, just as the ‘Fall’ range starts trickling in. I picked up three three-wick candles. The first I bought at full price as was sadly a day early to the sale, Pumpkin Woods, which is a lovely cross between Sweet Cinnamon Pumpkin and Mahogany Woods. The second two I picked up in the two-for-$22 sale, which are classic favourites of mine and repurchases, Autumn & Sweater Weather.
I love the packaging this year; if you’re not familiar with BBW, they often keep the classic scents but change up the packaging each year. I love the photographic background and pretty fonts on the labels, and the lids this year are so festive and lovely! The big jars make just as lovely decorations as they do functioning candles.
I think the pumpkin lids are my favourite, but rather like the leaves too! Isn’t it nice when your candles match your bed sheets?
I can’t say no to something cute and in mini form, so I grabbed 3 mini candles in Sweet Cinnamon Pumpkin (my absolute fave), Crisp Morning Air and Autumn.
I stocked up on wallflower plugins, but sadly these are the most frustrating bit about being in the UK as the actual wall plugs obviously don’t fit with plug or voltage. If you don’t want to buy an ugly transformer, try looking on eBay for plugins from the Dubai Bath & Body Works Stores as these fit UK walls!
From the body range I was fairly well behaved and just stocked up on my favourite! I adore the scent of Sweet Cinnamon Pumpkin and the Ultra Shea cream is so thick and creamy, it’s a winter must have for me! I grabbed a mini one too to keep in my handbag.
We’d just reached the end of last years soap stash so had a good stock up. These were 6 for $24.
I think I was pretty conservative on the PocketBac front too as I tend to go mad here! I went for 3 autumn scents, again stocking up on my favourite Sweet Cinnamon Pumpkin, and 3 newer ones. ‘BFF’ smells like Cookie Dough ice cream which is a bit of a dream, and I’m trying out the other two to try and add a bit of calm into my day!
