Atlanta, GA. August 2015.
Driving at sunrise on the interstate feels a world away from the homeward commute on the M25. Maybe it’s the new scenery, but I find even the most uninteresting of highways fascinating to drive down. The light is different, a real golden glow rises up with the sun, blending with the flashes of oncoming headlights, and pans across the sky into oranges, yellows and the blue of the daytime. I’d drive all day, every day, if I could guarantee a highway sunrise for the journey.
